My story with dogs

I’m Nicole, the dog trainer behind Canine Concepts. Through years of experience, continuous learning and a genuine interest in every dog I meet, I help dogs and their people understand each other better.

What shaped my approach

My experience with dogs started at a young age through training hunting dogs. I later worked with police and detection dogs in the British Army. That experience taught me to observe carefully, remain calm and adapt my approach to the individual dog in front of me.

I studied animal care, canine psychology and completed additional professional training courses. As a dog trainer, I am committed to keeping my knowledge and methods up to date through ongoing education, continued professional development, and whatever is necessary to ensure my training reflects current, evidence-based best practice. This combination of practical experience and ongoing education helps me support dogs and their owners in a clear, personal and respectful way.

At Canine Concepts, every dog is welcome. Big or small, young or old, confident or sensitive: I always start by looking at who your dog is and what you need together.

What Canine Concepts stands for

Every dog is different. That is why I look beyond the behaviour itself and take the time to understand what may be causing it, as well as what works within your everyday life.

Understanding comes first

Before trying to change behaviour, we first take the time to understand your dog. From there, we work step by step towards more calm, trust and clarity.

Positive and personal

I use positive, respectful methods and tailor my guidance to your dog, your family and your daily environment. There are no standard solutions, only an approach that fits the dog in front of me.

Care beyond Canine Concepts

My commitment to dogs also continues outside Canine Concepts. Through my volunteer work with Nala’s Friends, I support dogs who need extra guidance, patience and another chance.
